Now is the year 2018 and not 1960s or 1970s, yet the “Kampung Spirit”
of Singaporeans is still alive amidst modernisation and urbanisation.
In a small cluster of flats across four blocks in Elias Park area in
Pasir Ris, umbrellas are shared among the residents–a step to rekindle a
faith in humanity. However, not everyone has the same positive outlook
on the said initiative after it was uploaded on Reddit r/singapore.
